Cotswold Lavender have an extended opening time on Fridays and Saturdays from mid-July to the first week in August (but is weather dependent understandably!) It is a delightful setting which looks especially lovely around ‘golden hour’ when the setting sun lights up the rows of lavender.
They open at 10am and close at 8pm (but usually let you hang around a bit longer – they just shut the kiosk and loos) Sunset is around 9pm at this time. There is usually a handful of people and dogs enjoying the fields – which add to the panorama and the ‘golden hour’ gives lovely shadows to the rows of lavender.
There is also a wildflower field and a row of picnic tables. The last time I went they had sunflowers in the next-door field! It is a very pretty vista – bring a picnic if you like and stay a while to enjoy the ambience!
The kiosk usually sells teas, coffees, etc, cakes (!) and there are plenty of loos.
Travelling by car the SatNav Postcode is WR12 7JY (=1hr 9 mins from Marlborough).
Arrival time- ideally be there latest from 4pm. Lifts can be arranged nearer the time.
Plenty of parking at the venue.
Entrance is about £7:50 per adult (update to be confirmed)
